Yep, I did it! I designed my very first corset. Pretty fun to design Halloween costumes. Even more fun that they’re free from Red Heart! Halloween is just around the corner!
I especially love the hats I designed for these sets. Really cute. And, the stitch pattern I created for the corset and scarf/sash is made to mimic lacing. Enjoy!

A free pattern! Woo hoo! This is the Grey Splendor Vest which I designed for Red Heart yarns. The pattern can be found here. This vest is made with a subtly sparkly yarn called Red Heart Shimmer and is available in three sizes to fit a full range of sizes. The vest is made in one piece, with seaming only at the shoulders and can be made with or without the cap sleeves.
Hmmm…. it’s not really super new so you may have already seen it. It’s been available as a free pattern from Red Heart for several weeks. But, this is the first chance I’ve had to blog about it.
This is the Wearever Tunic, available for free on the Red Heart website. It’s sized for size Small through 3X.
This is a unique design with several different techniques. The bodice is made in a nice textured stitch. It’s worked from bottom up. Once you have the bodice completed, you work in the round from top down in simple single crochet spiraling. I love the neck embellishment on this one.
This tunic is made in Red Heart Luster Sheen, which has been one of my favorites for over a decade. And, there are new colors, released in a line called Baby Sheen. So exciting! I have several skeins of Baby Sheen in a box right in front of me now. My fingers are feeling twitchy. 
Red Heart has released a book of 15 knit and crochet designs, all made in super soft Baby Clouds yarn. With a bulky yarn like Baby Clouds, you can complete projects quickly. I have three designs in the book (shown below). You can see all of the designs at the Red Heart site here.
I’m feeling sad that I didn’t have a chance to put these up sooner. There are Halloween costumes that are just too cute. The Little Devil Hat, especially, is so adorable. But, there is always next year!
