I love the drop stitch look in hand knitting. It was, of course, inevitable that I would create it in Tunisian crochet. Cowls are terrific. They add a bit of warmth like a scarf without slipping off the neck or shoulders, while making a beautiful embellishment to your wardrobe. The yarn is a beautiful merino superwash sock yarn from Knitting Notions. And, if there’s one thing that I love, it’s superwash merino. I know that it’s been treated to make it washer and dryer friendly. But, that’s not the reason I love it so much. I love it because, once you give it a water bath, and lay flat to dry (instead of using a dryer), it gets so soft and the lace opens up beautifully.
The pattern for this design is available in my new book, The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Tunisian Crochet, by Leisure Arts.
Although I couldn’t include Tunisian in the round in this book, it’s very easily adaptable to working in the round. Enjoy!

Oh, goodness! Leaving the book’s name out was kinda silly. ha! It’s from the Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Tunisian Crochet. Thanks for letting me know I left it out. I’ll have to fix that shortly.
